I have small rambler that was invaded by a friendly group of woodpeckers who were determined to take up residence in my walls by entering through the convenient doors they created in my cedar shakes. After a year or two of filling the wood peckers new humble abode with spray foam I finally figured something needed to be done. I received a few different quotes to get the project done (actually, I shopped the heck out of it). I wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the price and the service, and the product that was going to be installed. Tim from TR Exteriors came over to look at my problems with the unpaid residence trying to live in my walls and found them to be equally unwelcome. He spent about the right amount of time discussing the different types of solutions that we could do to resolve the issues. I decided to go with the Chamberlain Oak vinyl siding and sprinted an extra few hundred dollars to get the thicker stuff. I did not feel pressured to go with the thicker siding or go with any other upgrades I chose which was a welcoming feeling. Tim explained the products to me and left me with the book to make the decisions. Tim came in with a very competitive price, the price was about 5900 for my rambler which is about 1000 square foot. I did shortcut on my gables by leaving the existing aluminum up which and it looks real nice. Tim was within a few hundred dollars of everyone else who placed reasonable bids. Tim and his crew were very friendly throughout the whole installation and worked hard to get the project done, and done right. I appreciate the few extra pieces of siding they left that I threw in my attic just in case a dreaded storm comes through as well. My family is now asking for Tim’s contact information and I am more than happy to share Tim’s info with them, although there are a big group of woodpeckers that are quite busy looking for a new home.
